I used to have a client that worked on and ran various campaigns for politicians. Most of them are names you’d recognize from both sides. She said they all suck as human beings. I’ve met a prominent former congressman multiple times. Very different person from when he was in and out of office.

Quite frankly, if you honestly believe a politician has your interests in mind, you're delusional. Well, unless you're part of a large corporation or special interests group.
